April 13th Debbie Paris in the Second World War

April 13th Debbie Paris in the Second World War

Join me on a spring walk through the most scenic areas of the Right Bank in Paris revisiting the dark times of the occupation.

As we stroll past the Opéra Garnier, Place Vendôme, the Louvre and enjoy a little bit of green and quiet in the Tuileries garden, I would like to tell you about life during the Second World War in the city of lights, from the occupation to the liberation: how were the Parisian getting organized, what about the arts and culture, where were the main German headquarters and how did Paris not burn in the end?

I would like to share the incredible stories of Hitler's blitz visit to Paris, Rose Valland, Jacques Jaujard, Raoul Nordling, or even Coco Chanel!

Our tour will end near the Place de la Concorde and Champs Elysées, where fights took place during the liberation and famous images were captured of the victorious leaders marching down the avenue.
