Pictorial revolutions and revelations: from realism to Art Nouveau!!!
A condensed private tour of a spectacular museum!
This guided tour will put in context major artworks on display, from the Realism of Millet, Courbet, Daumier, through Impressionist masterpieces by Monet, Renoir, Sisley and many more, and post impressionist Van Gogh and Gauguin until the floral explosions of Art Nouveau decorative arts.
We will explore the influence of geo-political events and technical progress over art in the late 19th/early 20th century in France.
The tour contents and artworks/sections visited in the museum are subject to the current display (some artworks may be on loan). It will be customized according to your taste and interest. (Millet, Monet, Manet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Gauguin).
THE TOUR DOES NOT INCLUDE TEMPORARY EXHIBIT
After a synthetic tour of the Orsay Musuem highlights, let's ride a bus through the Saint Germain area to reach what is generally called the Latin Quarter, home to centuries-old prestigious universities.
This large area is actually very contrasted, showcasing bustling boulevards at Odeon, impressive monuments such the Sorbonne, the Pantheon or Saint Stephen church, as well as more intimate streets like rue Mouffetard.
Let's experience the different faces of Latin District with a mandatory walk through the iconic Luxemburg garden!
The tour will end on rue Mouffetard, a quaint cobblestone street with a choice of cafes and even larger choice of foodstores.
Tour timing: 1h30 at the Orsay Museum, half an hour bus or metro ride, approx. 2h00 walk in the Latin Quarter.

Payment & Cancellation:
If you wish to book the tour, a 50% deposit is requested upon booking.
If you cancel the tour before February 15th 2025, the deposit will be reimbursed, minus entrance tickets (72€).
If you cancel the tour after February 15th 2025, the deposit will NOT be reimbursed, except for medical conditions.
